DKNY Fall Winter pictures

The DKNY collection for spring-summer 2009 was based on sport clothing and fluorescent colors. Now, its collection for next autumn-winter (2009 / 2010) changes radically to show us some designs with a very feminine, sober and elegant style. We believe this is a trend that will continue throughout several fashion shows.
The designs of this collection are very slender and tight to the body, with skirts that fall below the knee and short jackets with a style that Victoria Beckham would love (of course, if we see Victoria is buying clothing at DKNY stores, then it will be a clear signal that the crisis is really severe). Also, wide belts are present on this collection, as well as coats with a rounded shape and short sleeves.
The palette of colors is typical of the winter: red tones combined with black, gray and green. Also, some prints are used: particularly lines, houndstooth prints, and a small dose of animal prints, which were very popular recently.
It seems DKNY has abandoned its “stylistic experiments”, at least for the moment. Maybe due to the tough times we’re in. Instead, the clothing store is playing safe by creating a collection designed to be easy to sell, with classic designs that are always in fashion, targeted to a wide range of women. Now, we have to wait to see this collection available at the stores.

Re-Create Sandra Bullock's Fresh-Faced Look

Face:

Because a perfectly polished complexion is the cornerstone to this makeup look, I highly recommend beginning with a thorough exfoliation. Madeleine Mono’s Act 1, 2 & 3 Set is a great start because it includes a gentle scrub, a hydrating moisture mask and a super-hydrating moisturizer. Following this three-step regimen before applying your makeup will give you a nice, smooth canvas to begin working your magic!

Now that your skin has been properly cared for, apply Sara St. James Natural Glow Face Tint to your entire face. This moisturizing tint evens out skin imperfections while giving skin a dewy, natural look.

If shine is a problem for you, dust the smallest amount of Arabella Stuart Candlelight Finishing Powder to T-Zone only, using Japonesque’s Powder Brush. A healthy sheen is the most important part of this makeup look, so be sure to apply powder sparingly.

Eyes:

Using Sistina Café Colori Eyeshadows, apply the ivory shade onto brow bones with Japonesque’s Medium Fluff Eyeshadow Brush. Use this same brush to sweep the soft pink color over lids.

Dip Japonesque’s Crease Brush into the lightest brown (her hat) and blend thoroughly into your crease for natural-looking depth and dimension.

Now, use Sistina Eye Crayon Definire in Carboncino to define upper lash line. Keep the pencil close to lashes for a nice crisp line. To achieve Sandra’s slightly winged look, lift pencil up and out at a 45 degree angle when you reach the outer corners of your eyes. Be careful not to extend liner down past corners as this can cause eyes to appear droopy.

Now curl lashes with Japonesque's Power Curl Lash Curler and apply two coats of Sistina Mascara Maxima in Mezzanotte Black to top lashes.

Cheeks:

For a rosy-cheeked look like Sandra’s, use the Japonesque Blush Brush to apply the deeper in shade in the Arabella Stuart Duo Blusher in Somerset to the apples of your cheeks blending up towards your hairline. Use the same brush to sweep the lighter shade across the tops of your cheekbones.

Lips:

Define your lips with Jean-Michelle Le Stylo Pour Les Levres in Rose Jardin. This soft rosy shade will give subtle color and definition.

Now, apply Jean-Michelle Infinite Lip Couleur in Pink Rose for a long-lasting, natural-finish.

Voila! You’re done!

As always, we welcome your comments.
