In an interview yesterday by Mo Twister with Dra Vicky Belo's lawyer Atty. Adel Tamano in Showbiz Central, Mo asked if there was an attempt to bribe Belo or some sort of blackmail prior to the release of Katrina Halili and Hayden Kho Scandal to which Tamano replied:
"Actually, the blackmail attempt involves corporate coercion. They attempted to extort siguro mga [maybe around] four million pesos – not from Dr. Belo but from Dr. Kho."
Kho refused to pay up, Tamano said, because he could not really be sure if copies of the video would in fact be destroyed. The blackmailer might ask for more money.

From the looks of it, this is a new form of crime - Scandal for Ransom. Gone are the days for kidnap for ransom, now its scandal. The only difference is that, in a kidnap for ransom, once you paid and get custody of the victim, case is closed. But with video scandal, you cannot really be sure if once you paid, there won't be any other copies that will surface.
